CRYOLYIPOLYSIS FAT FREEZING

CRYOLIPOLYSIS FAT FREEZING

The Benefits of Cryolipolysis

Cryolipolysis is a non-invasive treatment that freezes fat cells in targeted areas. These cells then shrivel and die and are then naturally excreted via your body’s lymphatic system over the following weeks. It is also a durable treatment, once the fat cells are gone they are gone for good.

While not a procedure for overall weight loss, it is perfect for eliminating problem deposits of fat on the body, for example a double chin, tummy fat, flanks, inner and outer thigh fat and many more areas.

These are often areas where stubborn fat remains even despite maintaining a healthy diet and exercising. Exercise of course has many benefits but it will not quickly target fat in any specific area. The fat cells slowly get smaller, rather than being removed.

Coolsculpting can cut fat cells in a targeted area by up to 27%, this in a treatment that can take as little as half an hour. Post treatment, there can be minor short term side effects such as redness and swelling and localised numbness, but nothing that should stop the patient going about their usual daily routine.

This is an exciting treatment for anyone looking to make non-surgical, noticeable improvements to their body without the need for expensive, invasive surgery. We are proud to be the leading clinic providing cryolipolysis treatment in London, or indeed in Western Europe for the past six years.

The latest technology on offer extends to Dual Sculpting – while not suitable in every case, this is a version of Coolsculpting that enables us to treat two separate areas simultaneously, making treatment time quicker. Two areas of a cryolipolysis treatment can be performed in just 35 minutes.

The consultation will take a holistic approach, looking at the body as a whole and then identify your specific areas of concern. Everything will be discussed in detail and a bespoke treatment plan created, which any patient is of course then able to consider.

We have the experience to know what is likely to be the best treatment option and to advise how tackling different areas can lead to the desired results – for instance fat bulges from thighs as well as belly fat and bra fat.

 Frequently Asked Questions
  • What is Cryolipolysis?

Cryolipolysis, commonly referred to as fat freezing, is a nonsurgical fat reduction procedure that uses cold temperature to reduce fat deposits in certain areas of the body. The procedure is designed to reduce localised fat deposits or bulges that do not respond to diet and exercise.

  • How long do results last?

Your CoolSculpting results should last indefinitely. That's because once CoolSculpting kills off fat cells, they do not come back. But if you gain weight after your CoolSculpting treatment, you may gain fat back in the treated area or areas

  • Will I lose weight with Cryolipolysis

Cryolipolysis isn't a weight-loss treatment. Treatment will result in the elimination of localised fat cells, but do not expect to really lose weight. If you carry 10 pounds of fat in your stomach and eliminate 26% of the fat cells in the treatment area, you can expect to lose around 2.6 pounds of fat from one session.

  • How many sessions of cryolipolysis are needed?

One session is normally enough for smaller areas, but if you want to treat a larger area or have a little more fat to address, two or three treatments may be necessary. In general, most people achieve their desired results after two sessions. Theoretically, you can schedule several sessions to treat a specific area.

  • What is the disadvantage of cryolipolysis?

Disadvantages of cryolipolysis include: The procedure is recommended only for people who are in good general health with no neurologic or orthopaedic problems and who are looking for “spot” fat reduction in specific areas on the body. Cryolipolysis is not recommended for people who have obesity.

  • How painful is cryolipolysis?

CoolSculpting patients generally describe there experience more as uncomfortable than painful, though some patients do experience pain. During the first few minutes of treatment the patient experiences a tugging sensation when medical suction is used to keep the skin in place between the device's cooling panels.

  • What not to do after fat freezing?

Do not apply any medicated oil on the body parts where you've done a fat freeze procedure. Avoid exposing the treated area to the sun for up to 1 week after the treatment.

  • Can cryolipolysis go wrong?

Rarely, cryolipolysis can cause mild or moderate pain afterward. You're also at a slight risk of nerve pain. Sometimes your skin can look less smooth afterward. Less than 1% of people who get it done have a complication called paradoxical fat hyperplasia.

  • Does cryolipolysis leave loose skin?

Since CoolSculpting® reduces fat gradually for a moderate change, it's unlikely to cause sagging skin or make loose skin look worse. The fat cells that are broken down after the treatment are expelled by the body over months of time. The skin typically retracts around the new slimmer body contours.

  • Where does fat go after cryotherapy?

CoolSculpting essentially kills the number of fat cells, so there are less of them in your body. Fat cells compromised by CoolSculpting become a waste product and then are processed by the lymphatic system and eliminated from the body permanently. These fat cells will not be regenerated by the body.

  • How permanent is cryolipolysis?

Once the treated fat cells have been frozen through cryolipolysis, they die. The body's natural reaction is to remove these dead fat cells through its natural elimination process. This is not temporary; the cells are permanently destroyed and eradicated from the body.

  • Do you poop out fat after CoolSculpting

Because your liver is processing dead fat cells, you may notice changes in your bowel movements as fat cells are removed from your body. All of these side effects will subside within a few days or up to a few weeks.
