Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Therapy is a gentle, safe and effective treatment to improve the appearance of many skin irregularities. A full consultation and treatment plan is required prior to treatment. Skin concerns are discussed and recognised by your therapist. Once agreed and happy the treatment can begin. A cool gel is applied over the skin providing conduction for the laser. The laser is penetrated below the top layer of the skin causing damage to the pigment. After the treatment a SPF is applied to the skin to protect from UV. 

Treatment time is around 15 minutes. A course of 6 is recommended for optimum results and each session is performed 1 week apart. Results are long lasting lasting you 12-18 months however maintenance treatments can be used to further results. Treatments aiding in maintenance include Skin peels, Microneedling and RF Facials.

    None, but you should avoid exposure to the sun for 48 hours and keep the treated area well moisturized and use a high SPF in between treatments..

    How long will the results last?

    The results will last between12 and18 months, at which point you can come back to us for a top-up treatment.

  • Are there any side effects?

     The treated area may be a little red immediately after the procedure, but this is normal and will not last long at all. A cooling agent is aplied afterwards.
