Permanent Makeup is a specialised form of cosmetic tattooing to create eyeliner, eyebrows and lip blush/liner. Firstly a full consultation and treatment plan is required to discuss the desired result for the client, which is then followed by drawing on and confirming the desired shape and colours. Once decided and happy with your final look a topical aesthetic is applied which is then followed by the pigment being placed into the upper dermal layers of the skin using a disposable fine needle. This roughly takes around 1 hour, but can vary for each client.
A follow up appointment known as a top-up is required 2-4 weeks after initial session, this is where any changes can be made I.e. colour, shape and to fill in any gaps left over from scabbing
Semi Permanent make up typically lasts between 12-24 months before fading begins to occur. Top ups may be desired before the advised annual date subject to the client and how they feel in relation to the pigment retention.
There are several ways to create your desired look for eyebrows including natural hair stroke, shaded eyebrows for a more defined look and ombre for a more creative look depending on how much hair there already is to work with. All techniques give fantastic results and it is more of a personal choice along with the technicians advise on which is believed to be more suited on an an individual client basis.
Other treatments offered include the eyelash enhancement, eyeliner or a more dramatic latino liner. A lipliner can help to emphasise and define the feature and is the perfect treatment for ageing lips that are losing their colour and definition and gives the illusion of fuller lips without using fillers. The aim of the results of these treatments are to give definition to the feature yet still look natural.
Microblading is a type of eyebrow architecture. It is all about creating the best shape for each face – a totally bespoke approach for each client.
The process is very precise thanks to the tool that is used which is effectively like a pen with the nib being a sloped blade with 10-12 little needles at the end - needles that don’t penetrate the skin but just delicately scratch the surface, much like a paper cut.
