FIBROBLAST PLASMA SKIN TIGHTENING

FIBROBLAST PLASMA SKIN TIGHTENING

Plasma fibroblast is a non-invasive treatment which focuses on lifting and tightening loose or sagging skin with long lasting results. The plasma deviced used is fitted with a small surgical probe which creates electrical energy that is then used to ionise the oxygen and nitrogen in the air to form a small electrical arc. Once the skin fibres have been shrunk, new collagen is produced leading to the tightening and firming of excess skin. Over a few days, the excess skin crusts and falls off while the collagen production carries on working up to 6 months after treatment.

During first treatment, a full consultation is carried out which areas of concern are discussed and recognised. Once these have been agreed and the client is happy, a topical anesthetic is applied to the area. A handheld device is then used on the areas to shrink the skin fibres while creating and producing the collagen tightening the skin. The skin will show tiny, neat dots where the fibers have been shrunk. These will fall off after a couple days leaving no scars.
Treatment time is around 1 hour depending on how big the area of treatment is.

After initial appointment, a follow up will be required 10 days later to go through results and look back on before and after pictures. If a small boost is needed it can be carried out then.

There is minimal downtime with fibroblast. Scabbing tends to fall off 2-5 days after session and doesn't leave the skin with any marks or scaring. Medicated concealers can be applied to minimise visibility of the scabs.

Fibroblast can leave you with long lasting results. These results can be kept longer by maintenance treatments including HIFU and RF facials.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Who is Suitable for this Treatment?

This Plasma Fibroblast treatment is suitable for both men and woman who want to enhance their appearance, reduce the signs of aging and diminish excess skin while tightening the area.

You could be a new mother, suffering from mild stretch marks, with excess skin due to pregnancy weight gain. Or someone who has signs of aging, such as crows feet, deep wrinkles, hood eyelid, smokers lines, marionette lines, crepey neck and décolleté, excess loose skin under the eyes (not pockets of fat).

  • Does it Hurt? and how many treatments will I need?

A topical anesthetic will be applied to the area half an hour before the treatment, so the client hardly feels a thing.

How many treatments will I need?

Usually, one treatment is just required but Depending on your skin elasticity and the area treated?  You may need 2 or 3 treatments if its for stretch marks and scars.

  • Is there Downtime/Recovery Time?

One of the major advantages of fibroblast is that it offers a much less invasive/expensive alternative to surgery as well as the time it takes to carry out. This does not mean there is no downtime, but by comparison, it is minimal. You can experience significant swelling in the area treated, particularly in the eye area this diminishes over a 2-5 day period. The tiny plasma flash causes ‘crusts’ to form on the skin giving the distinctive dotting effect. These on average are gone between 5-7 days. They may also be covered over to reduce their visibility using a medicated concealer. These are cosmetic issues only, technically there is no real downtime if these visual effects are of no concern to you.

  • What Aftercare is Needed?

After your fibroblast treatment, your skin will be very vulnerable to the elements and must be protected at all time.

Aloe vera may be applied to ease the urge to stretch

A factor of at least 30-50 or even block must be worn to protect against the sun for at least 3 months after due to the skin being compromised and may still be pink or swollen for a while after.

Certainly no picking or touching of the area so you don’t interfere with the healing process.

Water should not be allowed to penetrate the area for the first 5-7 days until the crusts/scabs have fallen off naturally as will affect the healing outcome and contaminate the area.

No makeup should be worn on the area unless it's medically suitable due to infection or contamination of the area.
